Ok. I am committing right now to writing out a long post about myself. I am giving myself until the

end of the week to do it. I won’t post it here because this is public, but i am putting in 3 private FB groups: General Eating Disorder, Smart Recovery, and Overeaters Anonymous. I am trying to decide what will help me more, OA, Smart, or both. I figure I might try putting up said long blurb to see if someone thinks they can help me. I have made a lot of behavior choices that have me feeling so ashamed. I haven’t even told my clinicians the full details, but the more I fall into these secretive behaviors the worse my life gets.

Thanks for listening!

Spent years at Ala-Non and always left with more questions than answers. Then I found SMART - changed my life in my ability to cope with the substance abusers in my circle.

Wishing you much success on your journey towards recovery. You have the power to do it. Find the group that works for you and use the tools they offer. Good Luck,

it would be get out of the trap of tieing your weight to your worth as a fellow human.

It becomes a terrible trap: weight -> depression -> weight -> depression.

Separate the two and they both will get better.
