(28,791 posts)I bought a loaf of test organic buttermilk from Franz, but it's just too sweet for toast or sandwiches. it'll fry up nicely tho. and I'm just not in the mood to cook.

Potted Shrimp and Toasted Baguette
Duck Glazed with Honey and Herbs de Provence
Roasted Bliss and Yukon Potatoes w/Shallot
Brussels Sprouts
Salad of Romaine, Orange, Fennel, Kalamata Olives and Red Pepper
w/Citrus Vinaigrette
Cassata Siciliana (Orange pound cake filled with ricotta laced with Countreau and stuffed with toasted almonds, microplaned orange peel, and vanilla sugar. Each of the four layers of the cake is painted with Cointreau before filling then wrapped tightly and chilled overnight before frosting with chocolate-mocha truffle ganache. I also melted some orange flavored chocolate into the ganache. Hey! It's my birthday!
