Related: About this forumSweet onions - Vidalias or Walla Wallas?
I like Vidalias the best, but Walla Wallas run a real close second. Here on the West Coast, Walla Wallas are more available and fresher.
This year, given the weather stuff, the Pacific Northwest variety may be a good choice.

But I admit to being swayed by my years in the south.

Not bad. http://www.carzaliavalley.com/
Grilled a half with the chicken yesterday, nice and sweet and juicy.

Thanks for the tip. I love sweet onions grilled. And it getting to be the right time for grilling.

talking peaches, I think those big, juicy SC peaches are sheer perfection.
