Sliced, oven baked potato

http://cookingwiththemark.blogspot.com

Ingredients
potato(es)
olive oil
garlic powder
sea salt

Directions
Slice a potato almost all the way through. Place on a pizza pan and drizzle with olive oil, being sure to get some in between slices. Sprinkle with garlic powder and sea salt and bake at 400° for an hour. Voila!

Try this with duck fat instead of olive oil. It is sublime. Potatoes and duck fat were made for each other.

Simple. What I usually end up doing is topping the potato w/ broccoli and shredded cheese.

Hasselback Potatoes. Some recipes call for using bread crumbs, butter, chives, green onions. They all look good to me. Thanks for reminding me to give them a try.

Here a easy non-fat recipe for crispy potatoes

Peel and slice potatoes in rounds. Spray cookie sheet with Pam. Lay potato slices on cookie sheet, can be partially layered. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, season salt. Cover with aluminum foil. Bake at 400 degrees about 20 minutes, remove foil, turn potatoes, let bake until they start to soften and brown on the bottom Turn the potatoes if they are browning on the bottom. May may have to turn again, about 10 to 20 minutes more, depending on how many potatoes and how crisp you want them. I like mine partially soft with some crisp edges and bottoms.
