What's for Dinner ~ Saturday ~ June 21st

Last edited Sat Jun 21, 2014, 12:34 PM - Edit history (1)

Editing to say we ended up with pizza. I'm on a multi cheese with jalapeno kick lately, though I usually make Greek pizza for myself. Bill is having multi-meats.

You?

and stir fry vegetables, Thai style with garlic, ginger, and lime.

I saved cbayer's cucumber soup recipe, so I think I'll use it.

Oh, and fennel salad.

I will get some input from the RG on the fennel salad.

Oh, and I learned something very interesting about pasta and a low-carb diet. The RG wanted to do pasta and I about cried 'cuz I wanted some so much. However, the only place I can find for low-carb pasta is online and because it was so expensive, I didn't order it.

So he checked the gluten-free pastas and found out they are way lower in carbs! In fact, so close to what is on my diet that I felt I could have at least one serving.

It was also very good. I didn't feel like I was missing too much, as he also cooked regular pasta.

The only lc pasta I know about is Dreamfields, but gluten free would be a great alternative.
The only pasta I eat anymore is a tricolor rotini, or ravioli, and that isn't too often. I'll look at the gluten free options!

...with a lot of fresh rosemary and butter tucked under the skin.

I'm thinking fried leftover polenta alongside, and haricot vert. Leftover pineapple upside down cake.
