What's for Dinner, Sat., Oct. 10, 2015

I picked up some groceries this a.m, so I might make up meatballs and tomato sauce.

I'm pretty busy putting away the garden, though, so I might just warm up some frozen dinners the RG made me.

1. Chile grilled shrimp

My wife concocted a chile, cumin, garlic, paprika, lime, beer, salt marinade and is currently grilling shrimp out side. I have prepared corn on the cob and homemade Italian bread and green salad. MMMM Can't wait.

4. Almost leftovers from yesterday.

We had sausage, onion and peppers in spaghetti sauce yesterday, so today, we used the rest of the sausages, peppers and onions in sauce mixed with penne as day two food.

A warning for folks - I've heard the pumpkin crop used for canned pumpkin was kinda lousy this year, so if you need canned pumpkin for the rest of the holiday season, you might want to pick it up soon, before places start running out. We use it as a dog food supplement at times, so I made sure to grab a few extra cans while I was out today, even though it was no longer on sale.

Was just looking for something to post on that 'halloween specials' thread, and I came across the neat idea to 'carve' orange bell peppers when making stuffed peppers into mini jack-o-lanterns while trying to find something else, so I posted a pic of that over in that thread.
