What's for Dinner, Sat., Mar. 19. 2016

Chicken meatballs with feta cheese and spinach mixed in. I'm trying to figure out my herbs now. Thyme will be one.

I'm also making basil pesto.

----------
Slight change, due to the RG having some input. Pasta with the meatballs, and we're mixing the ground chicken with ground pork.

Salad bar for 70~!? Family gathering?

Everything changed. Thought he had pork; no pork. So it was ground chicken in the roasted tomato pasta sauce. No feta cheese. He made it, and, as usual, it was so good.

One thing I've realized (and come to terms with) is that no matter how hard I try, I'll never be the chef that he is. He has native talents that I don't have.

We also had Judy's Bread, sliced, and with a "jingle" apple slice on it. Also he put Italian (La Tur) semi-ripened cheese as a spread over the bread slices. That was the appetizer.

A tossed green salad with aged Balsamic for me. He had regular cider vinegar in his dressing.

For dessert, Haagen Daz vanilla Swiss almond, my favorite HD flavor.

We watched Jessica Jones (Marvel) on Netflix and laughed our heads off. A couple friends stopped by to say hello. All in all, a nice evening.
