Related: About this forumAs a THANK YOU to y'all, for helping me select a wine gift for friends/neighbor/landlords,
here's an old favorite recipe of mine, which I actually MADE several times, largely for guests. A real keeper.

P.S. I bought a Clos du Bois Cabernet ($15.00,) as well as this LOCAL wine, a fave of mine which many may not like but I do:

I like the 'Exotic Fruits White Zin,' 'a fantastic wine product with delicious strawberry, passion fruit, and other natural flavors.' Bottle pictured on the right.
AND I ordered the Ghost Pines cab, as it sounded great! Won't be available for a few days.
THANKS for getting me out of the house!
Prolly won't actually give the gift for a few; stove installation still underway.

(23,242 posts)You'll have to tell me what you think of the Ghost Pines cab. If you like your reds silky and smooth, I don't think you'll be disappointed. You made a fine choice with the Clos du Bois, imo. They will love it! Hope your stove install is done in short order. Cheers elleng!

(130,156 posts)'Bold and intensely flavored, our Ghost Pines Cabernet Sauvignon was crafted with grapes from Sonoma and Napa. The blend of these two regions creates an expansive palate that offers dark fruit flavors, round tannins and an enduring finish. Sweet vanilla nuances and the occasional savory note make this Cabernet a truly unique wine.
REALLY can't wait!
Now youve got me hankering for it again! I may treat myself.
