Are there any bird people here? I have birds and the love of a silly little dog, Gidgit. I would love to show you how beautiful she is but I have no server to load the photos to. I'll work on that.
So are there any feathered families here?

(1,815 posts)I saw a beauty Sunday...I have 14 birds in my bird room currently. The season is over so there will be no more babies until November. All hand feeders breath a sigh of relief..

(18,219 posts)but I had the most affectionate Blue and Gold Macaw in the past. She was a wonderful pet.
What kind of birds do you have?
And if you have a digital camera, you can load photos onto your computer with little difficulty from a thumb drive in your camera. Just ask how and someone could walk you through it. That is the only way I get photos on my laptop.

(45 posts)Including the furry one. Ringnecks are such characters. How many do you have besides the baby?

I'm just building my program now. I would have had three babies but Miracle's mother killed her two siblings, I barely got to her before she was next. She was two days old and the youngest baby I've had to hand feed, that is why she is named what she, it's a miracle she survived. Everybody will be old enough to breed next season and then the fun begins...Ringneck babies are the sweetest babies I've been around.
I also have two pairs of breeding green cheeks and one pair of sun conures..The female sun is also a pet her name is Precious, here she is when she was younger. She is much more beautiful now.

(18,219 posts)and yours are beautiful. I wouldn't know which I would choose if I wanted to get any---yellow or turquoise. And I have never seen a ringneck parakeet, but that is a lovely bird.
As far as the big birds go, the hand fed babies turn out to be very sweet and docile. My macaw was not hand fed, so it took some time and work to get her tamed down, but she was a darling. I cannot say that I didn't get some nasty bites, but nothing that needed stitches. And I had lovebirds before her, and they could make you cry when they bit as well. I think either the birds learn not to bite, or you learn how to avoid getting bit, because it became a rare event.
I must commend you on the aviary you have. It looks like a wonderful place for the birds.

(951 posts)He is a character. Has a dry sense of humor. One night we were getting ready to go out and he said in my voice, "Is that what your wearing?" Which as we all know means I think you need to change clothes.
I would love to get a little conure, but not sure how they would mix. Your birds are beautiful!

(1,815 posts)Let me know, I have new babies hatching around January.
I love that Gandalf talks. I wonder who taught him that?
Thanks for the reply.
