did some research and realized they had frog poisoning. We flushed out their mouths and put them in their indoor crates with blankets and some water. They are not shaking or seizing or acting weird, just the foaming and the sounds like they have dry mouth. it is almost 1 in the morning here and there are no emergency vet hospitals.
they have appointments tomorrow just check ups
if I think they need it, I can take them in anytime today...otherwise they have check ups tomorrow

(53,831 posts)My baby seized several times because she is so small, I immediately ran her to the vet. They gave her something to settle her stomach, but that was it. The vet even said, "had it been a bigger dog" it would have likely only been foaming at the mouth. I will say, don't let them eat anything!!! You might just want to call the vet tomorrow and get advice over the phone, unless they are acting really strange, but given their size (unless they are puppies), they should be OK. Like I said, don't let them snack, because they may end up throwing up.

(31,997 posts)we flushed out their mouths Angus-brindle 75 lbs is 4 will be 5 in a couple of weeks. He had the lesser of the poison. Daisy -2 68 lb fawn had the most foaming. I flushed out her mouth first washed her face feet and neck. I even put my hands in her mouth to make sure it wasn't slimey. We dried them off and then locked them in their huge indoor "house" with blankets and some water. It is a cool room near our bedroom. Since I do not have to work, I will be checking on them off and on. They didn't seem disoriented or off balance and there were no seizures or vomit. Just the foam that seemed to magnify. I just checked on them and there was no foam, but they are still licking their mouths like they had had a scoop of peanut butter.
Thanks all for encouraging that I had taken the right steps.

(14,554 posts)I love Boxers -- I'm actually looking into starting up a boxer rescue in my area. I currently have a brindle, on the little side, but I'm pretty sure he's full boxer.
They are trouble!!! But totally worth it.
