The hits keep coming for my cats.

I posted yesterday about the sudden loss of my cat Jeoffry from an aortic thromboembolism on Saturday night - and now I'm finding out that my old boy Milo might have cancer. I took him to the vet today because of some ongoing and recently-worsening respiratory symptoms (runny nose and eyes, sneezing and some swelling near one eye), and was told he could have an infection, but considering his age - almost 17 - they will also be looking at a tumor. So they will keep him overnight and do some tests tomorrow. I hope it's just an infection, but it's probably not. Damn, this sucks. Please keep your fingers crossed for us.

This is Milo (an oil painting I did of him a few months ago).

I'd started a painting of Jeoffry before my art class went on hiatus, and now I will finish it in his memory.

My 22 year old kitty Trouble is sitting by my side. She is deaf, has dementia and is starting to fail. I am not looking forward to the day she has to leave us. She’s a total pain in the butt, always has been and we love her and always have.

Your Milo is so beautiful! I hope he will be okay for a long time to come.

ability to capture that unique feline essence. Hoping your boy can hang on for a good bit longer. They never, ever stay long enough.
