Hillary Clinton wants to overturn the PLCAA

PLCAA: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Protection_of_Lawful_Commerce_in_Arms_Act

http://www.wsj.com/articles/hillary-clintons-gun-control-proposals-to-include-executive-action-1444017603

The Clinton campaign laid out a robust gun-control agenda, including calling on Congress to overturn a 2005 law that bars victims of gun violence from suing gun manufacturers. Mr. Sanders supported that law when he served in the House.

In the 2014 Isla Vista killings, the weapons used include: "Two knives, Glock 34 handgun, Two SIG Sauer P226 handguns and BMW 328i Coupé."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2014_Isla_Vista_killings

Would it be reasonable for the victims and victims families to sue all of those manufactures? If not, how one justify suing any of them?

Hillary seems to be pulling a Fiorina: Tell the most outrageous tale about the enemy, get a boost in the polls.

Fiorina really let a mud-splattering hippo fart of a story about Planned Parenthood, and the crowd went wild: Got a boost in polls.

Hillary wants Uique status established for gun companies so they can be ued beyind normal product liability statutes, but calls the present staus an exemption only for guns. At least her Bar-ROOM! at the watering hole has the grace of upside down, 180° symmetry, but this muddy surface burst will be applauded by some: Boost in polls? Wait and see.

To controller/banners: Before this law was passed, there were several special exemption suits filed against manufacturers. Do you know the results of these suits?

Ten thousand Indians are descending on the Lone Ranger and Tonto, the Lone Ranger looks at Tonto and says "Tonto, we need to get to those rocks and shoot it out with those Indians and save our lives", Tonto looks at the Lone Ranger and says, "Where do you get this we shit white man?"

Our gun control minded friends have a situational ethics problem, plus they are short sighted to a fault.

No problem for them using a back door approach to closing down gun manufacturers with lawsuits.

But if the same thing was tried as a back door way to shut down surgical instrument manufacturers for women's health issues, they'd scream like crazy about how horrible and unconstitutional it was.

We've lost the House and Senate and how many state legislatures and Governors? Maybe when President Liz Cheney is in the Oval Office for her second term they'll start to figure out their pet issue is a loser.

Cutting death and violence is a very good cause. Both the red and the blue teams are in favor. It's how to do that where they differ. Maybe I'm wrong but some aspects of this just seem to me to be something that one of the teams adopts as a position simply because the other team is against it.

What you are pushing is a rather common stereotype that some folks have about folks Bernie's age.

I'm old enough myself to discount such stereotypes.

... Even if the CDC and any other alphabet soup agency actually had "gun studies" banned.

What stops the Billionaire banker Bloomberg and his ilk from paying for any study (and results) he wants? I know for a fact that ORC accepts checks and POs, I've written several myself to them over the years.

Doesn't Hemenway or the other hired guns need a summer house somewhere?

I mean, what stops the gun controllers from funding studies?

For that matter, I keep hearing from the control side that the NRA pays for Congress loyalty. If that's true, does that mean that gun controllers, even with Bloomberg's and the Joyce Foundation's billions of $$$ behind them, are just too cheap or stupid to buy their own congress critters or outbid the NRA?

I cant think of a reason, well, other than they seem to be both too lazy to get off the couch and do anything or go anywhere to protest and too cheap to join any group or donate in the real world?
