Screw army go navy ,I feel like I actually won this one on a enlistment

Airborne infantry troops youngest brother. Has enlisted in the navy as a hull tech. Yup at first he was talking about going airborne infantry like his older brother. And I said look you are seventeen and you need to get that will stockdale shit out of your head. Joking the movie no time for sgt’s.

Use this enlistment to advance you as a person. For three years in high school you took plumbing. He applied for pipe trades apprenticeship and he did not get selected this time. My brother is union pipe fitter welder it took him four years to get in and that was in the early 1990’s.

So after boot camp he will be off to hull tech school. I think he told me it is 16 weeks long. After he gets out he will definitely get into the union apprenticeship. He will know how to weld and that is a huge plus. I said think about it you will only be 21 or 22 and then you’ll get into Union for 5 year program on steam fitting and plumbing .

As he turns 18 on June 19 and then leaves for Great Lakes. He was night fishing with us last night he and our boys are still sleeping. He crashed on couch we may go swimming today. Gotta enjoy everyday soon he will be busy.

I've had business meetings aboard military bases over the last year, and the last two times I've seen traveling classroom trailers from Lincoln Welders and Miller, providing welding training for military personnel. Make sure he looks for and takes advantage of such opportunities if they're made available where he's stationed.
