Republicans Refusal to Hear Obama’s SCOTUS nominee is racist

http://thegrio.com/2016/02/25/republicans-refusal-to-hear-president-obamas-scotus-nominee-is-racist/

The race card is like Republican heroin. Conservatives are addicted to it and can’t do without it. And over the years, they have upped their dosage. It all started with the Southern Strategy that appealed to racist white voters by trouncing on black folks and our rights. Slashing government programs, cutting taxes, eliminating voting rights and affirmative action — all of these are about sticking it to African-Americans and keeping us in our place.

When Obama came on the scene, he became the perfect boogeyman they needed to scare up support from their dwindling base. Unlike previous black nightmares — The Black Panthers, Willie Horton, the welfare queen, the hoodie-wearing “thug” — this one lives in the White House.

The conservative movement in the United States has always been about going through extreme measures to limit the rights and opportunities of African-Americans. That’s why racists burnt down Black Wall Street. And that’s why we were made to count the bubbles in a bar of soap in order to register to vote. And now that one of us is the President of the United States, they cannot allow him to succeed in running America; even if it means taking down the entire nation with them. After all, to be a black man in the White House is to be illegitimate, in their view.

Republicans have refused to cooperate with President Obama on anything at all, which they made clear rather early on. Their opposition to Obamacare was as much a crusade to stop the bad black man from winning as much as it was an effort to block a perceived liberal agenda. They delighted in their obstructionism just as much as Klansman took pride in the terror they inflicted on black souls. With each new showdown, Republican lawmakers — dominated by white Southerners — have ratcheted up the stakes to please their dwindling, increasingly extremist, white nationalist base.

Let's take a break from the future, focus on the current sitting House and Senate - and call it what it is. These inbred bigots are obstructing America because they are so blinded by their hate towards black people they would rather burn America down than do their jobs.

This is HUGE. And the media refuses to call it what it is - except for David Love.

issue.

For the first time ever the House refused to hold hearings on a president's budget.

Pure, unadulterated, racism.

And 90% of resistance from the Republicans in the House and Senate is not only about his skin color - but all black people.

Won't call them out. Calling them out takes the people that voted for them to task too.

...just once, I would love to see him stand at a press conference and say,"It's because I'm black, isn't it?" and have that be it.

They are bigots, representing the truly hateful of this country.

I never thought they made any effort to cover up what it really was which makes the silence of the media and dems even more deplorable. Although the mouth-breathers in the republican base would have rejoiced to hear their racism publicized...they are proud of it.

From Mitch McConnell saying that his goal was to make Obama a one term president to blocking his legislative agenda across the board to the fake birther controversy, the Republicans have had it in for this president from the get-go. But in addition to the racism, there is another scary thing about them that I first noticed when Bill Clinton won his first election as president: they honestly believe that they are entitled to govern this country, and that Democrats aren't "real Americans," as the then-chairman of the Republican party said at their convention.

So not only are they racist (and misogynistic, let's not for get that) they also are profoundly undemocratic and authoritarian. The Republican party was not always this bad but it is now off-the-charts crazy, and the rise of Trump is the outcome of the decades they have spent pandering to the looniest, most bigoted and paranoid elements in the country, all the while stirring up working class and middle class people's resentment and anger against those who are the most vulnerable members of our society, instead of the most rapaciously rich and powerful.

At least that is my interpretation of the political situation we find ourselves in. God help us all!

So the people that need to hear it won't. But this article is old???

No one IN THIS WORLD expects for them to start cooperating with the man now. If the entire country has to grind to halt due to their intransigence, they've proven that they are all too happy with that and have been for seven years.

Of the Obama Admin with a racist asshole leading the Republican primary, foaming at the mouth bigots supporting the asshole - and I don't have heaven05 here to tell it like it is.

In his absence - I intend to call it Amerikkka every chance I get - because mom (HRC) and dad (Sanders) FANs are fighting and if they don't wake up and get their shit together we are going to wind up with Hitler for a step dad.
