This is the first of the series, and this is my second or third reading of this series - just started today. I treasure every page.

He reminds me of Colon Cotterill and his Dr. Siri series in Laos..science, superstition, religion, spirits, and HUMOR.... only this is about the Utes in Colorado.

Doss has a new book coming out Oct. 30. He died just after he finished it.

Finally picked this up and about 2/3rds though.

Really excellent writing, good literature genre or not.

Terry Pratchett's latest. Also, Thomas Jefferson and Sally Hemings by Annette Gordon-Reed. There's a lot of controversy surrounding this relationship. Ms. Gordon-Reed tries to sort truth from myth and wishful thinking.

The ones that are left are mostly in Fraktur. It gives me a headache to read that stuff, and I can't imagine how Germany ever emerged into the industrial age reading it.

Found out who got rid of it. The Nazis. Yup. Horrifying factoid.
