Customer maces employees in mask dispute

OUTH ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KMOV.com) - Employees at a South County pizza and arcade center say they were assaulted and maced Sunday in a dispute over wearing masks. Employees at Incredible Pizza Company on Lindbergh told News 4 they've had issues with some customers refusing to wear masks, something that is required in St. Louis County.

Surveillance video from the lobby shows a group getting escorted out. Employees say the group refused to wear masks. One person then turns around and maces three employees in the face. Video from another angle shows a woman running back inside and macing another employee just seconds later.

Employee Laura Hackworth says it all started before 5 p.m. in the game room when she asked three people to put masks on, a requirement in St. Louis County for everyone over the age of nine. She says that group refused, started cursing and spitting in her face. “I just need you guys to go, let's get out,” Hackworth said. She recorded a video of another employee escorting the group out, repeatedly asking them to leave.

Managing general partner April Gamache says police arrived shortly after her employees were maced. Investigators arrested a 27-year-old woman and issued a summons for assaulting three people. “I am still shocked a little bit and a little traumatized by the incident that happened, it could have been worse it could have been a gun that somebody pulled out,” said Gamache.

It should be made legal to knock the living shit out of anti masker covidiots. Then drag them out of the store and dump them on the curb.

Put the consequences in thier faces. Bet they'll run to avoid the cops. Because for all the bluster they'd turn tail if they had real personal consequences that would cost them for it . They don't want cops? Wear a goddamn mask or else.

Right now all they get is kicked out of a store and get to have a tempertantrum and that apparently isn't enough consquences to change thier behavior. Getting arrested would.

But if someone refuses to wear a mask and refuses to leave, they will treat it as a criminal trespass.

but that's the only way to handle it. (oh -- and no service to anyone that is refusing to comply -- no mask, not going to ring you up -- no latte for you! -- thank you and have a nice day!)

(but the manager is right -- these people are cray-cray -- are people going to end up dead over this? this is a violent assault -- ask anyone that's been peppered -- and I hope some judge down the line hands out some time here. complete BS!)
