How can a team win a game with only one hit?

When they're playing the Buccos, that's how.

The Padres managed just a bunt single off Pirates starter Francisco Liriano and hit the ball to an outfielder only once, but they drew nine walks and the Pirates committed an error, which all added up to a win and Ian Kennedy earning his third straight victory in a very strange game.

I understand that the Pads have accomplished this feat twice before in their history.
