Hoping to appeal to the everyman demographic in Mississippi, Republican Senator Thad Cochran has released an ad featuring a humble, high school offensive coordinator named Brett Favre, who helped lead Oak Grove High School to the state 6A championship last year.
When many politicians focus on getting big name endorsements from governors or captains of industry, you have to appreciate Cochran highlighting the average Joe, no matter where you land on the political spectrum.
It should be noted that Favre does have some local celebrity in Mississippi, as he apparently served as the starting quarterback at the University of Southern Mississippi for four years in the late 80?s-early 90?s.
