Curt Schilling: 'I am in remission'

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Curt Schilling, the former Boston Red Sox pitcher turned ESPN television analyst, says his cancer is in remission.

Schilling announced the news Wednesday on social media. He thanked his Boston-based medical team.

He announced his diagnosis in February, saying he planned to "embrace this fight, just like the rest of them, with resolute faith, and head on."

He hadn't indicated the type of cancer or his prognosis, but has posted pictures of himself undergoing treatments.

Hope it's true...even dicks don't deserve cancer.
