At 30, Lincecum shows he's maturing
Chicago --
- He is not your little Timmy anymore, the wild-haired, flame-throwing twentysomething who electrified China Basin during the dark days of losing and symbolized the promise of better things.
The hair is shorter. He looks studious in glasses. He watches video and breaks down hitters now. In a raucous clubhouse, he does not stand out as much as he once did.
Timmy Lincecum turned 30 on Sunday, if you can grasp that.
Or should it now be Tim?
