Mating Dance of the Boat-tailed Grackle

...as interrupted by mobbing Mockingbirds.

The male and female Grackle got very angry.

The male Grackle would dance and parade about, displaying his feathers (the female danced too)....but

Each and every time the male made his move the Mockingbirds would jump on him.

Thanks!

There are many at a wetlands I visit near my house and also on parking lots in town.

The Boat-tailed Grackles here in central Florida have black eyes.
