My trip to Valencia will probably happen despite being put on indefinite hold last fall...

My daughter, granddaughter and I ---3 generations of women -- want to go to Valencia so my granddaughter, who will be a Marine Biology major entering college this fall. The highlight of the trip will be the futuristic aquarium at the City of Arts and Sciences, designed by Santiago Calatrava. Behavior issues of my granddaughter were the cause but a big lesson has been learned and we all want to go!

We'll probably fly from Boston's Logan airport direct to Barcelona and take a train to Valencia, staying 4 days. Then back up to Barcelona for several days. This will most likely happen in early May, when her college spring semester ends...

I am thrilled for her and for my daughter and me. Sometimes painful episodes in one's young life can be life changing...

Here is the aquarium

Her graduation from another academy was last weekend and she'll be working this summer. Her work ethic is fine -- she's had the same summer job for 2 years in a row -- and I am relieved and very happy. Her 16 year old sister will probably be working right alongside her --- at a nice little clothing store in Edgartown...
