West Highlands, Scotland. What to see, what to avoid?

Will be flying next month from the Shetland Islands to Inverness and will be there for 3 days. Is it best to rent a car? Thanks in advance.

for two days and one day in Glencoe. Or should I stay 3 days in Skye and drive to Glencoe for the day? I have already figured out I need a car to get around.
