Accused killer believed he was being controlled by aliens

March 16, 2016
Mark Russell

... A man accused of killing a father of four in his Rye home feared he was being controlled by aliens ... John Woodruff .. also believed the Greek God Zeus was inside him ... "He believed that he was being watched by these satellites and that they could read his thoughts" ... "He explained that he was told by God that he could generate enough electricity to die by killing someone." Dr Simms said that after allegedly killing Mr Gray, Mr Woodruff went outside but was not struck down by lightning ...

However as there is no requirement to believe in absurd and childish nonsense, the Thales legend is at least plausible, unlike believing in the Energizer Bunny or the Zombie God.
