The news broke right around sundown, but she may have died a couple hours before that.

I'm sorry if I came off as insensitive in pointing out what I just felt was fact. She either died on Rosh Hashanah or she didn't. You can't put her in a category that applies only on Rosh Hashanah if she died prior to it.

I'm still depressed about her passing.

And heard it on the radio. It was well before sunset, as we were still getting ready for RH.

So, it's a "no".

I am also not familiar with the belief that dying just before RH is an honor.

But my birthday frequently falls on YK (just depends on the Gregorian calendar), but I suppose it always falls on YK on the Jewish calendar. So what do I know.
