Ministry to remove billboard with Hitler quote

AUBURN, Ala. (AP) - The founder of a children's ministry in eastern Alabama says that a billboard featuring a quote from Adolf Hitler will be removed.

The Columbus Ledger-Enquirer reports that the billboard at the Village Mall in Auburn, Alabama, features five smiling children beneath a quote from Hitler: "He alone, who owns the youth, gains the future."

Lamar Advertising officials say the billboard was rented by Opelika, Alabama-based Life Savers Ministries.

that line came from the Bible when they saw it. Sounded like someone Jesus said, somewhere.

Reading the article, I thought they had used a Hitler quote not knowing it was him. But they fucking put the attribution right on the sign! WTF?!?

without a trace of irony or self-awareness, was, "If you don't teach your children to be good Christians, do you know who will teach them? NAZIS!!!"

BTW, the good folks responsible for this billboard are most likely the folks behind the book "To Train Up a Child". From their wikipedia page:

The book advises parents to use objects like a quarter-inch plumbing tube to spank children and "break their will". It also mentions withholding food and putting children under a cold garden hose.

The content of Pearl's book has been cited as advocating child abuse and its teachings were linked to the deaths of Sean Paddock,[10] Lydia Schatz,[11] and Hana Grace-Rose Williams.[12] In all three cases the parents were homeschooling their children and are believed to have read Pearl's book.

But don't worry, I've been assured that not all Christians are like this and anybody who would do such a thing isn't a true Christian anyway.
