It's dyING....

Dying is the problem.

That's why we're all for medicine (that works), pain killers, safe cars, clean water, untainted beef, inspected veggies, vaccinations, logic, reason, skepticism....

What are you, a fascist or something?

I do agree that dying is the problem, not death, but it is still hard on the ones left behind to deal with the death of a loved one. I don't fear death, but I hate dealing with the death of others who mean so much to me.

I do, however, fear the dying, which is why I will add euthanasia to your list.

But I remember when my parents died (6 months apart) that the only way for children to avoid this inevitable occurrence is to die first. Knowing that it is something EVERY person must face (unless they die 1st) is somehow comforting in that it's a shared experience.... without (this is important) judgement attached to it.

No one is judging anyone's actions...except other people. The universe is not nefarious.... not benign .... it is completely indifferent.
