Here's an odd one. Too bad they didn't make a recording of the brain session that came up with this. Somebody thought that an adventure series featuring a religious fighter would be a smash hit. It only lasted two issues. Basically, it was a Jack London type of northwest adventure, it even had a backup feature about a dog named Snowfang. The main gimmick of the series was that the hero spouted scripture while saving hot babes. You can read both issues here": http://comicbookplus.com/?dlid=8674
I like the encounter where he turns the other cheek, but you only get two shots, then it's his turn.
If they ever make a TV show or a Movie about this hero, he'll have a great theme song:

(9,356 posts)Yes, "Muscular Christianity" is a real thing. Originated in Victorian Britain as a way to attain physical AND spiritual health. (Cough...) But as practiced over here in the USA, it often simply meant "beating the shit out of non-believers."
The comic inspired me to search on that musty old phrase and see what turned up. Well, I bet you can guess what turned up - a marketing scheme! Complete with a paradigm and very legit testimonials:
*************
I had no idea what to expect. Four weeks into it, I was on my way to being 15 pounds lighter and being able to pursue fitness in the context of my relationship with Christ was motivating. Definitely something I would recommend to guys!

(33,479 posts)I think that is the best art of all the comics you've posted so far.
Second, I like how he recites Jesus' plead for non-violence and then goes ahead and ignores it, punching the guy out.
Nice Christian values.
