Framing the Discussion - Binary vs Non-Binary

Last edited Fri Aug 24, 2018, 04:42 PM - Edit history (1)

In my never ending quest for new ideas and different points of view, I came across a presentation of framing a debate in a mere binary form:

However, I found even that trinary expansion to not fully express the general points of view, so I made the following:

But I feel it needs help/refinement.

Anyone have constructive comments to add?

Thanks

This is a great table. So many arguments have been framed this way in some places and it's infuriating. Things like asking for no "in god we trust" on our money are called extreme views pushing secularism, when in reality it's just the neutral stance, and that it's been through the courts and upheld, so clearly it's not a violation.

One question - should there be a topic for "gender roles" or "sexual attitudes"?

...there are an unlimited number of topics that can be included.

Please provide text to fill in the boxes, as you would like to have the topics presented, if you have the time/inclination?

...and no rush, if you noticed, I started this thread 2 years ago so I'm obviously not one to require a deadline.

I'll see if I can scratch out some draft text for review.
