In my 50 years of watching elections, I

have never seen anything to rival this one. I don't remember any presidential candidate coming apart like Romney. Reminds me of the scene in the Wizard of Oz when Dorothy throws the bucket of water on the witch.

Can anybody think of a meltdown as bad as this one?

Not a campaign fundraising angle.

A private equity/vulture capital fundraising angle.

He certainly is not trying to win. And in fact, appears to be trying to lose.

That's it! Maybe he's a Soros plant.

Poppy Bush's reason for throwing that election in 92 was self-preservation. He knew he'd get impeached if BCCI report went to hearings and the info contained gained media traction.
