The Dem race in MI got 1.16M votes total, compared to 1.25M for the Repubs.
As of this post:
Trump got 481,296
Bernie got 590,396

(1,384 posts)And while I'm tempted to say this is a good thing for both candidates, look at the top line number. 134,000 more Republicans voted than Democrats, and when trump is the nominee, they're all going to him. This is troublesome no matter who our nominee is.

(22,336 posts)I think a lot of voters, unlike what we see at DU, are either happy with both Bernie and Hillary (as I am) or aren't really happy with either (which is something I've heard from some friends.) You aren't as likely to vote in either of those cases.
However, people are either very pro-Trump, or very anti-Trump. The Republicans are much more concerned about who wins their primary and so they're really showing up.
