This is the simple truth, Americans once again are being held hostage between

the Democrats and the Republicans. This time you are being held hostage to a bigger degree! Trump against Mrs. Clinton, you all are being held hostage again. You have to vote for Mrs. Clinton, the supreme court is at stake plus with a Trump presidency, America will no longer get the respect of the world.

I have no idea why Mr. Sanders is not getting more support, he speaks to us, the working and middle class.

I am at a loss for words why Trump get more people to his rallies. It is only a small proportion of the US who are backing him, he does not have the backing of minorities. Is America so Evangelical that a person like Trump can win the GOP nomination?

They see "their" America slipping away to minorities and such, and they are angry about it.

They are voting in numbers not seen before due to their anger.

I don't think the Evangelical vote matters much to Trump, but I could be wrong.

Now, I'm oversimplifying...

But that's basically what's going on.

His policies resonate so well with people in America who have been overlooked for decades. Somehow, I cannot understand why African Americans lean towards Hilary Clinton as opposed to Mr. Sanders. The Clinton era did not bode well for African Americans!

Democrats and the Republicans, where is the third party in a country of over 400 million people. And you know what, why only Mrs. Clinton and Mr. O'Malley looking towards the presidency of the US. No other democrat felt it is their time to run. Frankly, am sick of the Clintons, they need to go away like a bad penny, but here she is feeling entitled to the Presidency. Pretty soon, President Obama will give her the nod.

Since most (all?) of our elections are first-past-the-post, 2 large parties is simply the most stable arrangement. When the Whigs disintegrated in the 1850s, most of its northern membership joined the new Republican party, while the southern ones eventually ended up in the Democratic party.

Whenever a third party reaches a certain amount of success, it tends to get absorbed into whichever party it is ideologically closest to, because the larger party wants to attract the smaller's voters, and the smaller party gets to be part of the decision making process instead of a mere protest vote.

On the street politics is a blood sport. But since it is mostly face-to-face, it is done with due respect and gentility except for the few times it's not.

On the internet there is no face-to-face so the dark stuff easily flows. I think it as a mere oddity and just laugh it off, and keep my eye on the ends.

The Clintons have perfected the blood sport end of it but I'll bet they are quite surprised at how much we know about them. Problem is, as we've seen on DU, many just ignore the facts. And that kinda does piss off a lot of us - the ignoring.

Get them to vote for you then knife them. That's what the Clintons have done to blacks and poor people. They dare not draw much blood from the rich, because that's their base these days. Oh, they may prick them but only when it can be triangulated to their ultimate goal of filling their pockets.

Clinton has several scandals surrounding her. Some resolved, some not.
