PHOENIX ................
We are Latinos con Hillary, U.S. Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-Arizona) said on the steps of Cesar Chavez Plaza in downtown Phoenix. We are proud supporters of the next president of the United States.
The congressman is the son of Hispanic immigrants. He said Clintons agenda and proven record make her the clear choice for the Latino community and all Arizona families.
(She is) someone that has the experience and the knowledge, somebody that we have trusted and known to trust with all issues when it comes to the Latino community especially immigration reform, Gallego said.
Gallego believes Clinton will create an economy that works for everyone, especially Latinos, through her progressive policies.
Other attendees touted Clintons belief in raising wages for working families, guaranteeing women have equal pay, ensuring students can afford college and fighting for comprehensive immigration reform.

(6,568 posts)We all did. Since becoming an adult, Hillary has been a Democrat.
Unlike a certain hero here who was a Republican for 30 years and actually voted for Reagan (who, by the way, has more than atoned for that sin, IMHO). But damnit, Hillary supported a Republican as a child. Burn her!

On Monday, nearly 30 of mostly Hispanic leaders formed a Bernie Sanders coalition, including U.S. Rep. Raul Grijalva, state Sen. Martín Quezada and Maricopa County Supervisor Steve Gallardo.
"His entire political history, his entire political record has re-energized and reinvigorated me [as a politician]," Quezada told La Voz Arizona Monday as he joined five colleagues from the state Legislature to support Sanders over Hillary. He has stayed true to the ideals that inspired me to run for office."
