UNTIE!

Yup. Untie yourselves from the two Democratic candidates in the primaries. Vote for the one you like best, of course, but don't commit yourself totally, just in case your favorite doesn't end up being the nominee. There is a more important election coming up in November. If you're tied so tightly to one candidate, it might be difficult to loosen the bond and do what's best for the country.

Note: This applies to adherents of both Democratic candidates.

Don't matter what I do so, I have the unfortunate freedom to choose.

But swing and purple states ... Good point.

It's almost guaranteed that we will vote Bernie in a couple months and Hillary in November. Causes things to seem a little less apoplectic on my end.

and a multitude of other things I really really hate. Don't believe I can, but thanks for the cheeriness!

In November we will be voting for the better choice between two candidates, just as we always do. I can't remember ever having a Democratic candidate for President with whom I agreed on 100% of issues.

I can, however remember a pantload of Republican candidates with whom I agreed on almost nothing at all.

Our presidential elections are about better, not perfect. They always have been and always will be.

10. For me, for the first time, it would be a Sophie's Choice, in reverse, if it ends up Trump/Hillary.

I believe neither of them is good for the US. Or people, really. The issues I disagree with Hillary on are huge and harmful to people and the earth.
Here's to working for Bernie! is all I got.

6. It is, as you say, absurd to be tied to a candidate.

It is reasonable to stay consistent to your principles and values. That is what I intend to do after the nominating convention, the general election, the inauguration of the next President. To do anything else is defeatist.

However, as the candidate running against the candidate I intend to vote for in the primary process agrees with me on essentially nothing, it is impossible for me to support that candidate in a general election.
