I would like Bernie to tell the people just two things: Vote for who you want! Believe in democracy!

Too many Dems are caught up in the "game", worried about which candidate is the best bet against the Repug nominee in the fall, likely to be Trump. They worry about what independents will do, they worry about what kinds of attacks they will hurl at Bernie. They're not thrilled with Hillary, many don't even like her. but many feel she's been tested, vetted, whatever, and that somehow she will stand up better against Trump. Strategists have turned politics into quite a dismal science indeed.

But it's worse that that. At the heart of this pragmatism, is the politics of fear and distrust. That we really don't believe Americans will do the right thing. So we vote for the "pragmatic" candidate who we don't really like, and once again put our dreams on hold.

No.

If we believe in democracy at all, we have to start acting like it, now. Vote for who you truly want to win! And then talk up your candidate like you mean it, and believe that others - independents and even some Republicans - will see things the same way you do. Give real democracy a try... you may be pleasantly surprised by the results!
