Related: About this forumOur Turn: Bernie Sanders has the strongest immigration record
"This Tuesday, my fellow Arizona Democrats and I will go to the polls to cast our votes for our partys presidential nominee. As a member of the Arizona congressional delegation and co-chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, my choice this year for Sen. Bernie Sanders couldnt be easier.
Bernie offers Arizonans of all stripes the opportunity to support a candidate with a bold vision for America a vision like that of Franklin D. Roosevelt and other great Democratic presidents of the past. He also happens to be the Democratic candidate with the best chance of beating Donald Trump in November. Poll after poll has shown Bernie beating Trump soundly and by a larger margin than his opponent.
Bernie has been very clear that if Congress does not act to pass comprehensive immigration reform, he will use the executive powers of the presidency to expand President Obamas Deferred Action of Childhood Arrivals and Deferred Action for Parents of Americans.
He doesnt just have the strongest plan; he has the strongest background on the issue. He has stood with undocumented people to improve their lives in a very real way."
