Decreasing the number of polling places amounts to voter suppression of the working poor.

Maricopa County has only 60 polling places this year, down from over 200 in 2008. That's a decrease of 70%!!

No wonder the lines are three times as long. And while this may be an extreme case, I think a review of the situation across the country will find similar trends in polling places.

Why are they doing this???

And as we know, the lines always get worse at the end of the day, when everyone gets out of work. If you have to wait an hour - or even two - to go vote, either you don't have the time, or you lose patience, thereby suppressing the vote of the working class.
