Why is everyone freaking out about Arizona's primary?

In Maricopa and Pima counties alone, over 600,000 EARLY votes were returned before the polls opened yesterday.

http://www.azcentral.com/story/news/politics/elections/2016/03/21/arizona-early-ballots-high-turnout-presidential-primary/82081164/

So far, according to CNN, with an estimated 78% of the vote in, about 800,000 Democratic + Republican votes have been counted.

http://www.cnn.com/election/primaries/states/az/Rep

800,000-600,000 = 200,000 people voted yesterday in both contests.

That means there were no long lines, no running out of ballots, no voters turned away.

These images and stories of voter disenfranchisement and the vote not being reported are just conspiracy theories and stock photos posted by Twitter trolls and sore losers.

The Arizona primary is finished. Just move on and accept that almost no one voted yesterday.

American democracy is all good.

Most of the votes are in and the math tells us that almost no one actually voted yesterday.

As a Democrat, I accept that with no concerns whatsoever.

Or, do we simply have to always take their word?

Early voting would be an excellent way to stack votes if there is little to no transparency or risk of audit.

I remember when this kind of thing did. I just had to put someone on full ignore after they argued that sander's voters just didn't get off their lazy asses and change their registration. It takes real intellectional ignorance to willfully ignore what is right in your face. It's not a Bernie/Hillary issue. It's voter suppression/disenfranchisement that impacted both sides. It was wrong. It happened now, imagine what fall will be like.

Get over it.

I realized that I actually screwed up my math. There must have been early votes in other counties too. So, truly, no one actually voted in person yesterday.

All of this *concern* about American democracy is just trumped up BS.

Speaking of Trump, I did expect some people to come out in person to vote for him, but whatever.

I don't think the problems in Arizona cost Bernie enough that the numbers would have significantly changed, maybe he'd have 1 more delegate than before, but that is just speculation.

But I do think that issues like these shouldn't be occurring for anyone, democrat, republican, independent...I want everyone to vote, and I want that process to be as easy and as transparent as possible. We live in a data driven society, and anyone worth their job in AZ could have easily figured out the number of polling places and ballots needed. That didn't happen, so if anything, an investigation should occur to make sure the next time people vote, these problems are corrected.

Not correcting the issues will just cause more people to point the finger and claim corruption and suppression when it happens again.

Plenty of links provided. Every excuse from random Twitter person, to out right ignoring local media directly interviewing people right there holding their current democratic registration card in hand. I went ahead and FId someone after they told me it was just lazy Sander's voters that hadn't updated their registration. I had never said anything about people supporting one candidate or another. I'd fight for anyone's right to vote, even if it was a republican voter - because everyone deserves the right to cast that ballot. And I also don't want to give anyone cause to take that right from me. I do my job by helping turn out the vote, and informing voters - not taking their rights away or celebrating/belittling their rights being lost. That's about the most I democratic thing you can do.

How would you like to wait in a line like that, for 3 to 5 hours?

You don't think that's voter suppression? I sure as hell do.

needs to be done. There is no reason voters should be kept from voting because there are not enough machines. I remember this happened in the 2008 race also in other states.

Enough.
