Video documentation of half-mile-long line of voters in Maricopa County, AZ yesterday.

This is a disgrace. And unacceptable. Literally, unacceptable. As in, we shouldn't accept the results of yesterday's vote in Arizona as valid.

Maybe we don't stuff ballot boxes in America (maybe we do), but the tricks they play to suppress the vote of those who don't have one, two, or three HOURS to spend on voting, amount to election fraud just the same.

Why didn't people take advantage of early voting? Agschmid Mar 2016 #1
There could be plenty of reasons they chose to vote on their actual election day. Matt_in_STL Mar 2016 #5

Does that make it okay to disenfranchise a single voter on election day, regardless of who they are casting a vote for? That entire line of people may be voting against my candidate but they each deserve their chance to vote and, if they choose to vote on election day, they need to be able to vote. Many states are working to eliminate early voting - are you okay with lines like this when that happens?

But no I'm not okay with lines like that, but I also don't understand why people wouldn't vote early.

because we have a corrupt process. The real kick in the head though- most of Hillary's supporters here seem to be just fine with it.

As is the PRIVATE CONTRACTOR who fucked up the voter registration rolls!

Look at all those good people in line for hours and hours trying to do their civic duty!

What are the Republicans running Arizona trying to do--make us the laughingstock of the world! Can't even run an election?!

And to you bots upthread who say, "Why didn't they use early voting?": YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT THEIR LIVES ARE LIKE! YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT THEIR REASONS MAY HAVE BEEN! If voting at the polls is offered then VOTING AT THE POLLS SHOULD BE POSSIBLE! What snots! 'They should've done this, they should've done that." Maybe they don't have the luxury to do what you say. Maybe they forgot because their kid had the flu, or they have 2 fucking low-pay jobs to worry about, or they lost the paper among the bills they can't pay, or they just were keyed to the old way of voting, IN PERSON. You don't know! And you don't care.

Well, goddammit, I care! THIS MAKES ME SO MAD! What I DON'T care about is who they were intending to vote for. That doesn't matter to me. Voting is sacred. It is the bottom line of our democracy. It IS the method by which we temporarily transfer our very sovereignty as a people to our elected representatives. And these officials in Arizona are spitting on it!

I want the Feds to investigate this. And I want to know whether or not it was specifically targeted election fraud or a general Republican PLAN to create chaos and disgust and anger and frustration and inconvenience in order to PREVENT the voters from voting, so that they can never rise up against the crap that these Republicans are doing behind their backs. And I want to know who is responsible, whatever the motive.
