(18,837 posts)Wenner sold his soul a long time ago. These days his primary role is chief publicist for every bowel movement taken by Kanye West.
That sub-title..."Idealism and honesty are crucial qualities for me, but I also want someone with experience who knows how to fight hard...what the fuck is that?
Because you know what? In his own way, George W. Bush also fought hard. Now, that may have taken the role of riding his bike or taking naps while Cheney and Rumsefeld and Condi ran things, but make no mistake about it...in his administration, getting things done was all that mattered. Fake intelligence allowed him to "fight hard" and get us into Iraq. Yeah, I'd say the smart money is on the "Idealism and honesty are crucial qualities for me, but" candidate this time around.

(290 posts)His letter of endorsement was pretty salty. Guess mountains of cash don't soften people up.

(751 posts)Does he mean caving to GOP on important issues like welfare reform, crime bill, deregulation, DADT, etc. What liberal issues have they fought and best back the GOP on?
Clinton experience is giving to GOP on governance issues and spending all their energy fighting back on self inflicted personal wounds.

We were all fooled back in the Monica Lewinsky days. We defended Bill Clinton because the republicans were being mean to him. Meanwhile, he was initiating policies that gave the whole country to the corporations and harmed the poor and middle class.

(30,099 posts)endorsement. Idealism he could have left in but to add honesty...as in she does not have
that crucial quality is fucking amazing.

(18,837 posts)If I were the Clinton campaign, I wouldn't draw too much attention to this particular "endorsement."

(30,099 posts)his subscribers to include an acknowledgement she is not honest is amazing.
As a publisher, he understands the power and selection of said language.
I agree with you, not a great idea to brag about this endorsement.

(275 posts)When we can have fighting Hillary who wants to fight more in the Middle East and we don't know why. Is it the MIC that supports her or Netanyahu, AIPAC, ETC.
Hillary will fight to means test Social Security. Hillary will fight for or against the TPP and other trade deals. How about the fossil fuel industry and pharmaceutical companies, for or against, doesn't matter cause she's fighting.
Bernie has much more experience fighting for us instead of taking PAC money for his campaign, filling his pockets with speeches to big banks, or getting money for a foundation from foriegn countries.

(35,015 posts)Fighting hard for WHAT? Because I don't know what that means when it comes to Hillary. How can you want someone who knows how to fight hard, when they aren't honest about exactly what they're fighting for?????
Ah dystopia!!

(3,017 posts)As for fighting hard, Hillary botched the opportunity for a single payer healthcare plan in 1993-94 and then quit. She won't try again, over 20 years later.
Bernie is still fighting for working people against the oligopoly after over 35 years in elected office.
Hillary supporters should just say they're for her and not to try to explain why, because coming up with an explanation only makes them look worse.
