- outsourcing labor, which takes jobs here and moves them abroad (leaving folks here with nothing but short-term unemployment and prayers)
- wars, in which the US protects it's "resources" abroad and kills anything in its way
- lip service regarding poverty, at best, while never addressing the sources that keep people impoverished
