SECOND EDIT: Apparently, these sorts of ads are allowed at caucuses. The issue here is that the Hillary ad was much longer and ran multiple times while the Bernie one was very short and only ran once. This angered a number of people. On top of that, Joleen LaPierre (the woman who taped and posted the video), stated from the caucus last night:

(357 posts)Worse, everything she is saying is co-opted from Senator Sanders.
As Senator Obama said, "Hillary is willing to say anything and do nothing."
Also, how is running political ads there even legal? Oh yeah, it's a caucus. Wow.
Wake up America!!!

(17,064 posts)And there's no other videos. Perhaps you can find evidence to back your claim other videos were run?
DanTex
(20,709 posts)Also, sorry, the burden of proof is on the people making the conspiratorial allegations. If you think that Hillary conspired to play her videos while shutting out Bernie's, then show some evidence. Other wise this is faked-moon-landing stuff.

(4,389 posts)No, obviously you don't. Sigh.
DanTex
(20,709 posts)Be honest, if it was a Bernie video and not a Hillary video, would you be screaming "conspiracy", or would you just think, OK, they played the candidates' videos at the caucus site.
We both know the answer.

(4,389 posts)Please point where I "screamed "conspiracy""?

(55,981 posts)If that happens at my precinct caucus the screens might get broken. It's time the lower classes stood up to the Rich and Powerful that you seem to revere.
DanTex
(20,709 posts)Hillary arranged so that they only play her videos at all caucus sites? LOL.
As far as the rich and powerful, you're the one planning on helping Trump into the White House, not me.

Once Trump starts on her newest "ventures", it will make Benghazi and Rose Law Firm seem like child's play. Not to mention the Republicans. The Democrats have mostly demurred, especially on the Foundation. The non-Democrats are already gearing up.
She's doing a fine job all by herself. She doesn't need us Bernie folks to crash and burn her Coronation.

(27,794 posts)What's the connection there? Is the DNC running caucuses in the states now?
It seems strange that there would be TVs on at all, but there's absolutely no evidence that they didn't run these videos for both candidates and I fail to see how the DNC would control this.
I've never seen a TV on at a caucus or polling place.

Cal Carpenter
(4,959 posts)It is very different from a typical primary voting scenario. Supporters speak about the candidates to encourage people to side with them, discussion ensues. The idea of 'no campaigning for a candidate within WW feet' does not apply to a caucus like it does to polling places in most primary states.
(I am just pointing out the basics of a caucus - not commenting on the videos referred to in the OP, btw).

(4,959 posts)because the person I was responding to didn't know that. I made it clear that I wasn't commenting on the particular scenario with the videos because I don't know.
What is 'SO obnoxious' is that I can't even make a straightforward, informative post in GD: P without someone coming at me from a weird angle.
FFS.

(19,841 posts)when people get going on a thread it's all about that topic, and comments may not always be strictly relevant. Sorry if offense taken.
GD is not the friendliest of places right now. But info from people in caucus states IS appreciated. I'm in the east and find it fascinating tho I don't care for those big screen ads --that Hillary one is just too creepy. I have not seen the Bernie one. It hits me funny because at my precinct there was not even a Hillary or Bernie SIGN anywhere, much less a giant video! Certainly NOT allowed.

(12,504 posts)and it would appear from the posts in this thread that the OP did not give a full accounting of the activities at the Primary caucus event. Parsing an issue to manufacture a problem.
