Melania Trump granted green card ‘based on marriage’ in 2001 — four years before she and The Donald

New evidence has emerged that Melania Trump may not have been the “model” immigrant she claims to be.

An immigration attorney who worked for the Trump Organization told Univision he obtained a green card “based on marriage” for Melania in 2001.

Just one potential problem — that was four years before her wedding to Donald Trump.

Melania, 46, told Larry King in 2005 she had not been married before meeting her billionaire husband, Univision reported. When pressed to explain the provocative new development, the immigration attorney, Michael Wildes, clammed up.

“Ms. Trump received citizenship in 2006 and prior to that she had a green card based on marriage,” Wildes told the network. “Before that, she had a work visa and was in full compliance on her visas and never disrespected any of them. That has been made clear to me.”

The story is so much more than merely Wildes' denials. See Politico, Alternet and the Washington Post for better details and the larger truths of this one. The Daily News story is barely more than a headline and misdirects the story line.

The thing is she repeats the lies over and over, and keeps adjusting the story about when and how she moved here in 1995 or 1996, and when and how she got her green card in 2001...er 2005, and just how many times she was married, and what kinds of visas she used prior to.
