NYT Chastises Hillary for Putting Her Hand on Her Heart — What’s Next, Breathing?

This is a new level of absurdity in attacks on Mrs. Clinton. No wonder she doesn't like to hold press conferences. If the press didn't...

If there was any doubt that the national media have it in for Hillary, just take a glance at recent coverage.

...........

.............

Now we get this inane and insulting piece from the New York Times rehashing the stale “Hillary is inauthentic” narrative: Hillary’s New Go-To Gesture: Hand to the Heart.

When Hillary Clinton told her audience at a rally in Las Vegas on Thursday “Here’s what I believe,” she punctuated those words with not just a vocal flourish but a physical one. Up went her hand, placed over her heart. It’s a subliminal message of sincerity that some language experts consider contrived.

Got it? She’s “contrived.” According to our national media, nothing Hillary says or does is real. She’s just a cold, robotic, scheming, lying ambition machine.

Back in March of 2015, I identified the dominant anti-Hillary frames — see if you recognize them:

• CALCULATING (Scheming, crafty, manipulative)
• SECRETIVE (Suspicious, paranoid, uncommunicative)
• POLARIZING (Divisive, alienating)
• UNTRUSTWORTHY (Corrupt, deceitful, dishonest, unethical)
• OVER-AMBITIOUS (Will do or say anything to win)
• INAUTHENTIC (Disingenuous, fake, unlikable, insincere)
• INHUMAN (Machine-like, robotic, abnormal, cold)
• OVER-CONFIDENT (Inevitable, defiant, imperious, regal)
• OLD (Out of touch, represents the past)

Now think about the profoundly misplaced priorities of the NY Times (and other major media outlets) whose singular mission is to mangle Hillary’s public image even as we face the possibility of a Trump presidency.

This article would be okay on its own, but it's not on its own. It's part of a huge pattern.

It's not the Times' job to tilt toward any candidate because it believes the other would be bad, but I believe if its coverage was as typically (and so obviously!) slanted on other subjects, not just HRC, its reputation would have been destroyed along ago.

about these slights while things are this good. They're drawing MORE attention to this trivia with their outrage- and I don't think it helps HRC at all.

that Al Gore was boring and that his campaign was focused on his wearing "earth tones."

That kind of issue-free reporting helped GW Bush enter the White House.

It's always good to point out when the press is showing their bias and idiocy.

Hillary is one of the warmest and most human people who have ever been on the political scene. She's a mensch. They know this so they have made it a priority to tell people to believe the opposite of what they see and feel.

Once they sink their teeth into flesh, they hold on even if it means they die doing it.

Murdoch has had his eye on the New York Times for decades. If this keeps up, even if he is ultimately successful, no one will notice that change.

Like Obama, if she has a successful presidency, the media will never forgive her for the affront.
