Jill Stein is an enemy who is only helping that lunatic Trump. Enough of the leave Jill Stein alone brigade. Go back to Jackass Laughingstocks with this bullshit.

The opposite of love isn't hate, it's indifference.

(58,785 posts)Perhaps it's this forum that's causing some people to imagine the otherwise-obscure Greens as a dangerous national force?
My best guess, anyway. I only mention this because imo there are silly numbers of beware-the-Greens posts here. For laughs, yes. For serious, get real. But of course, we're all free to elevate our chosen enemies to whatever importance we want. And certainly for some the closing of the GD-P forum has left an enemies vacuum.

(58,785 posts)Millions of people always reject the mainstream candidates. I at least concede the votes of the unhappy fringe are their own, though. I'd just prefer they not be encouraged to actually vote by people who mislead them into feeling relevant, instead of leaving them to stew in their real impotence.

(16,950 posts)but hatred and discontent and endless smears of the Democratic party means anything except to a few internet trolls and general malcontents.

(6,537 posts)Jill Stein will not be the next president. The race isn't close enough, so far, for her to be a spoiler. Now if the race reverts to Shrub/Gore like numbers, there's a problem. But the only one I see now are purity voters who think, since Hillary's polling is so good at the moment, they can indulge their third party vanity vote without helping to elect Trump. Actually, I think that's probably why Stein is polling at 5% right now according to CNN's poll of polls. If the race gets closer, look for that 5% to drop considerably.
