I'm exhausted by how much time I spend watching the election

The truth of the matter is not that much happens everyday. Trump says evil nutty thing, or swaps out lunatic A for lunatic B. A few new polls. Probabilities at 538 wave between 80 and 95. Katrina Pierson disgraces herself, like she lost a bet.

It's exhausting. I wish the election were in a week. I hate the sheer amount of time it consumes -- how many good novels or classic movies could I have watched? How many miles jogged?

But I can't look away. I'm fascinated and horrified, and I can't wait until I can ignore this twat and focus on...anything else.

(And I get the irony of posting about this. What can I say? The nature of addiction...)

Just doesn't really interest me; I'm not a fan of either of the two major candidates.

You sound like you need a break. Take one. Being exhausted about an election is silly, imo. Not much will really change either way. The system is too broken for that to happen, sadly.

Have a good one.

I was pretty much glued to both conventions. Now it's the Olympics. I will find any excuse to avoid real life, I guess. It has been ages since I have read a book.

We are going to have serious withdrawal problems come November.

It's an addiction, and I just run away from it only to sneak back out at night, like a junkie looking for a fix.

I can totally relate; I, too, am fascinated and horrified. . .

One doesn't even need to read editorials or delve too deeply, as this Republican ticket is so completely out of bounds in EVERY obvious and visible way. . . . It's mesmerizing.

It is exhausting, but at least we are justified in giving this our undivided attention. It really is the most important election in our lifetimes. I mean, if we aren't all that invested in something this serious, wouldn't that be even more cause for concern?

after Labor Day. It was fun to watch when Trump was self districting. However, now the media is turning on Hillary and propping Trump up. I can't stand to watch it. Gonna just focus on my tv shows and planning my vacation. No sense in stressing myself out.
