comes across as sweet, perky, and likable. (Something that the candidates she's chosen to associate with belies.)

I'd put "campaign manager" in quotes, though. She's traveling with him, presumably handling him, and interacting with the media to put a new face on the campaign. Some talking heads agreed no way could she be doing this and handling the whole of a campaign manager's many grueling tasks also. Of course, it's a rather...lean campaign.

And I have to agree. She may not look like the typical Fox fembot, and she may not have the skills/experience to effectively manage the campaign, but she does know what to say on TV. I find that very concerning. I don't think anyone should think she's a lightweight.

And prior to working for Trump she had some very disparaging things to say about him:

Donald Trump’s new campaign manager, Kellyanne Conway, spent the primary season as a cable news pundit attacking Trump for his “unpresidential” and “vulgar” language, for having “built a lot of his business on the backs of the little guy,” and for not releasing his tax returns. Conway’s previous lines of criticism are similar to charges the Clinton campaign has levied to admonish the Republican candidate.

http://mediamatters.org/research/2016/08/19/here-s-how-trump-s-new-campaign-manager-attacked-him-cable-news-pundit/212524

It bothers me that we would attack the way she looks. We have so much other material to attack, can we please leave her physical attractiveness out of it?

I thought oh, shoot! (Well, that's the general idea.)

As for the comments, I've also noticed that again and again more people than otherwise seem to feel a need to disparage and seemingly underestimate enemies. Since it's so common, it must serve a genuine purpose. Our on-line version of waving spears and yelling insults at the strangers on the other side of the meadow, perhaps.

the company she keeps suggests about her. Take a look at this, hard-core right-wing extremists every one:

Conway is president and CEO of The Polling Company, which she founded in 1995. Her company often works with Republican candidates to appeal to female voters and the client list, according to CNN, reads like a who's who of conservative politicians and organizations:

Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, Newt Gingrich's former presidential campaign, Reps. Steve King and Michele Bachmann, Todd Akin, FreedomWorks, Americans for Prosperity, The Heritage Foundation, National Rifle Association, and Family Research Council.

And of course she recently ran a super PAC for extremist Ted Cruz, i.e., dark money, which was later rebranded the Defeat Crooked Hillary super PAC.

With that history there's no way she's not also connected to Charles Koch and his subversive alliance.

She's known Trump for a decade and now is tied in politically with him, Breitbart/Bannon's nationalist, racist extremism, and extremist right-wing billionaire Spencer and his daughter.

But she has the same choices we all do. I often wonder what attracts smart people to their candidates and causes. I'm okay with critiquing those things but not women for their looks. I can draw the line and admire her success and hard work but still wonder why she holds them. I felt the same about Phyllis Schafly. I cannot comprehend the motive of women who want to hold other women back or stuck in roles. Conway who has been molded in the modern age and in an age that allowed her to do what she's done so why such allegiance to a party that limits choices. Go figure. Maybe a niche that was open to women much like Blacks who find a niche in the Republican Party as well or the Log Cabin Republicans who find those niches profitable? Indoctrination by family values?

and here's one result. http://www.cosmopolitan.com/politics/news/a62994/kellyanne-conway-trump-new-campaign-manager/

Kellyanne Conway was named Donald Trump's campaign manager Aug. 17, making her the first woman to ever run a Republican presidential campaign. She'll not only travel with Trump and advise him, but also appear frequently on TV to speak on his behalf.

Conway, 49, is a veteran political operative, who's spent the last three decades advising Republicans on how to appeal to female voters. In fact, she was already doing this for the Trump campaign before he tapped her to be his campaign manager.

I think she is successful at all because she has played the game for the good old boy network. She is submissive and has the looks that people like Donald Trump seem to want. She plays up those attributes. So I don't think her success is all about brain power.

She worked for a Cruz super PAC that went after Trump.

She has already been caught by the media (who rolled video evidence for her) complaining about Trump not releasing his tax returns. This was when she was working to get Cruz nominated.

Now, since she's on Trump's payroll, it's completely okay with her that Trump won't release his tax returns.

So, in my opinion, her integrity is sold to the highest bidder. And that means integrity is not an important thing to her.

It is to me.

But she does look strung out, now that you mention that. Sad.

but she seems STRUNG OUT. I am not backing down from that. She could be a male and act the same way. Think Charlie Sheen.

Reminds me of all the shit said about Hillary and even worse Chelsea and Amy Carter. People calling Michelle a gorilla and stuff.

She is great on TV and I certainly think that trying to lure more women to vote GOP is sort of a bad thing to do since the GOP has basically an anti woman agenda.

However personally attacking and insulting her for her looks or lifestyle sort of reminds me more of the way the GOP operates than dems.

She can get thru an interview w/o insulting anyone or seeming racist and unhinged.

And look much more "innocent" than Trump does, when spouting his hate.

Just saw a clip of her in April, and she looked less stressed then than she does now.

She just spouts hate with that smile. Grrrrr...I've always despised this woman. She betrays women supporting Trump.
