Let me get this straight

Trump's "outreach" to African Americans is to stand in front of all white audiences and tell African Americans that they are too stupid or lazy to vote for him...and the MSM depicts this as a "softening" of his rhetoric?

When does the white rabbit who is running late show up?

1. I am suspicious that his 'outreach' was a passive-aggressive slap against his handlers

and everyone else who is pushing him to be more 'mature.'

Because by no stretch of the imagination did he reach out to blacks.

2. This morning Joe Scarborough actually said "Better late than never, right?"

No, actually, Trump would've been better off not reaching out, if that's how he does it.

3. He quotes some stat that says

"58% of African American youth are unemployed"

If you use the same standard on white youth that are unemployed, their unemployment rate would be 53%.

I guess only AA youth in High School or College are required to have jobs!

4. I think that youth unemployment rate was the only one they could find that was high

So they took the Black Youth rate and neglected to say it was only 5% higher than the white youth because it fit the propaganda.

and they counted all AA youth, including those in school, disabled, or doing unpaid internship. So, since Malia Obama is taking a year break between HS and College, she too would be considered "unemployed".

It's the same crap they pull when they go on and on and on and on about "90 Million Americans" out of the workforce.

That 90M number includes:

- Elderly that are retired or living on SS and Pensions
- Disabled
- Children between 0-16
- 16-26 Year Olds that are in High School or College
- the Incarcerated
- Americans that choose to leave the workforce to raise children or care for family members

When they use that 90M number I want to scream...."get off your a$$ you 'effing' toddler...Wallmart needs you and your the perfect height to stock those bottom shelves"!!!!!

were completely "beside themselves" over what he said.

His statement was the "very definition" of racist.

Quick, someone get clarification from Paul Ryan

He was reassuring his audience that they aren't racists for supporting him.
He knows he's not going to win over many minority votes.

10. it was not outreach to black people. it was outreach to bigots-in-denial.

the central problem of the trump campaign and the real reason republican leaders and pundits are in a panic over his campaign is not because he happens to be down a few points in the polls.

it's because he's stripped the thin veneer of deniability that republican policies and rhetoric isn't really fundamentally bigoted.

in short, he's too obvious. *that* is the problem.

so his "outreach" was simply an effort to try to restore some of the deniability.

"see my plans aren't bigoted! give yuuge tax breaks to rich white people, and eventually black people will have decent menial jobs! see, i'm all about helping black people! now you can vote to screw black people and give the money to white people and pretend there's no bigotry involved!"

does that sounds like "outreach" to black people to you?

He can only do him--because doing something more would require empathy, learning and a work ethic.

It literally doesn't matter whether they call that one appearance an "outreach" or not. It's just more Trump half-assery.
