Eric Rollings, chairman of the Soil and Water Conservation District's supervisory board, who has met with Barber and Bolton-Joubert, the latter of whom Rollings said regularly attends district meetings. Rollings said he could not gauge Star Grayson's interest in district issues they have not spoken and he has not seen her at a meeting.

Eric Rollings, the Chairman of the Orange Soil and Water District has endorsed Environmentalist Maria Bolton-Joubert in her campaign to be the next District 1 representative.

“Hands down, I’m supporting my anti-fracking buddy, Maria Bolton” said Rollings “I’ve worked with her several years with the Sierra Club, opposing the black bear hunt and I could go on and on and on.”

While Soil and Water races are usually overlooked by voters and the media, the District 1 contest drew statewide interest on Friday during the qualifying period when 17 year old, Star Grayson, filed to run. She is the Daughter of controversial Congressman and Candidate for Senate Alan Grayson, and Step-Daughter to Dr. Dena Grayson, who is seeking his congressional seat. This means voters could see the Grayson name up to three times this fall, a proven advantage according to the polls.

“To be honest, I have no idea why Star Grayson is running.” continued Rollings “It bewilders me. I’ve never met her. Everybody is free to run but with the issues we’re working on now, it needs a lot of experience and education. I hope anybody who is running is doing it for the right reasons.”
