LOVE this! Love PTown. Spent my summers there from age 1-20!
PS~ That is the real Cher not an impersonator. Gotta say hard to tell the difference, the impersonators do a fine job. They love her and they love Hillary!

(128,525 posts)The Cape in summer (especially the bay side) is fantastic. My mother's sister married a man whose family is from Boston (and they and my cousins lived up in NH). Was up there every summer and went to UMASS (in Amherst).
Funny story about that Provincetown trip is that during that summer, I was a new students counselor at UMASS and we had that July 4th weekend off. So 9 of us (yes 9!) jammed into an older VW bug that one of the counselors had (YES a bug - doable because of the bench seats both front and back) and drove from Amherst to Brewster (almost 170 miles) where her parents had a summer beach house. We stayed up in the big attic for the weekend and drove on to Provincetown for the 4th. Great time!

(83,660 posts)You all must have had to unfold yourselves from that car! I think I remember what it was like to be young and limber! Lol~ Good job.
BumRushDaShow
(128,525 posts)They look tiny from the outside but I was surprised at how roomy they were inside with the bench seats (front and back). Plus this bug was a stick and no AC. The days of bench seats are long past now. It's almost 35 years later and no way trying to do that again.

try NOT to grab the one designed by Paul Klee. Or is it Jackson Pollack?

(83,660 posts)Your posts saddens me. You belittle her for the way she dresses. You compare her to Cher, who I love. Your post is so typically denigrating and nauseating. Looks mean everything to you?

(14,007 posts)about image and appearance (and love) I was just making what was intended to be a lighthearted reaction to the photos you posted. Nothing mean at all. I will happily delete the post if you feel it is "denigrating" I certainly did not mean it that way.
sheshe2
(83,660 posts)No. Don't delete. There has been so much hatred of Hillary as a woman it gets hard to tread through it some days. Sorry I over reacted.
Some of my family lived in Ptown. It has special meaning to me. The free spirit there is awesome.

(15,265 posts)It was typically held on the second or third weekend in October. It started at Plymouth Rock and ended in Provincetown. It was 80 miles long broken intor 8 legs of varying distance. I always ran of two legs. One was the second leg, a 9 miler, that went past the Pilgrim Nuclear power plant and up the steepest hill on the Cape. The hand off zone for the next leg was near the McDonald's before the bridge. Although the 7th leg that went through Truro and Wellfleet, a 13.8 mile leg, was the leg that I ran most years.
It was a great event. The whe team followed in cars after we ran our leg. I miss it and the Cape.

(83,660 posts)That is one hell of a run.
Cape Cod, lots of traffic. Yet you get to the shore and listen to the waves, you know peace.
Thanks for the post. I am missing the place more and more talking about it here.
